In the country of the film's characters, once a year from 7pm on 21 March until 7am the following morning, criminal activity, including murder, becomes legal and all security and medical services cease to function. This event, known as "Judgment Night", is meant to serve as a catharsis for the nation, giving people a chance to "blow off steam" by settling scores with those they feel deserve to be killed. Those killed are seen as 'victims in the name of getting rid of crime'.

On this night, a couple of guys decide to break into the victim's house and live out their fantasies.
